Over 90 Spanish and Latin American indie games in the new devINITIVE Showcase

The event holds its second edition this Wednesday with world exclusives, demo premieres and a dedicated Steam page running for a week. Here is everything you need to know before the new devINITIVE Showcase.

Spanish-language indie development has a date of its own. This Wednesday 16 September, devINITIVE Showcase holds its second edition with a two-hour broadcast packed with games made in Spain and Latin America: more than 90 trailers, world exclusives, demo launches and announcements of brand-new games.

You can watch the broadcast on the event’s official YouTube channel (@devinitiveshow). There will also be an in-person celebration at the OXO Videogame Museum in Madrid, where the invitations ran out within hours of opening.

What you will see at devINITIVE Showcase

The organising team picked 90 titles out of more than 250 submissions, a ratio that gives you an idea of how much is cooking right now in Spanish-speaking development. The line-up mixes games in full production, demos premiering that same day and titles already released over the course of the year.

As in the first edition, there will be a dedicated Steam page available for a week, with the games organised by country, one section for demos and another for this year’s releases. It is the easiest way to go back over whatever catches your eye during the stream and wishlist it.

A meeting point born in 2025

devINITIVE Showcase started in 2025 with the idea of building a space where indie games from Spanish-speaking teams get discovered and celebrated, and of bringing a shared industry and community together in the same place at the same time.

Behind the project are Caye (@lovelyindies) and Panchi (@djpanchi1), the same duo who pulled off the first edition.

“Choosing who to give space to has not been easy at all,” say the organisers, who thank the studios and developers for the trust they placed in them and hope the showcase helps people discover great games.

The event is backed by Acadevi, AEVI, DVJMX, GEM Awards, IndieDevDay, KATORIJJI, Latin American Games Showcase, MGA Agency, Ogre Pixel, OXO Museo, Press Over, Red Mountain, Skull Queens and Wild Cat Records.

How to support the studios

The organisers are openly asking people to share the news, to give extra visibility to teams going through a rough patch. And here is the most useful thing you can do in under two hours: watch the stream, wishlist whatever you like and share the trailers of the games you fall for. In indie, wishlists and word of mouth are worth more than any campaign.

Media, content creators, developers and partners have an official press and creator kit at their disposal, put together to make coverage and streaming on their own channels easier.
