The best cooking games on Steam | Cooking Fest 2026

Another themed event running on Steam right now is Cooking Fest 2026, a whole week devoted to cooking games, running a restaurant or setting up a food stall. There are discounts and demos scattered all over the store. I am not much of a cook in real life, but in video games I find it incredibly relaxing, so I have picked ten that strike me as the most interesting, with their specs and the price they have these days.

Dragon Song Tavern: Cozy & Adventurous

  • Title: Dragon Song Tavern: Cozy & Adventurous
  • Developer: Etherous Games
  • Publisher: HARRISONWORLD and Etherous Games
  • Genre: Simulation and RPG
  • Platforms: PC and Mac
  • Release date: 24 September 2025
  • Price at the festival: 8,77 euros, 55 % off

The first cooking game on the list has you running a tavern on an island with a dragon for company. You serve the customers, build your place up and between shifts you head off adventuring around the island. Along the way you run into unicorns and fight giant elementals. It has the biggest discount of the whole list at 55 %, so it comes in under nine euros.

KuloNiku: Bowl Up!

  • Title: KuloNiku: Bowl Up!
  • Developer: Gambir Studio
  • Publisher: Raw Fury
  • Genre: Management sim
  • Platforms: PC and Mac
  • Release date: 7 April 2026
  • Price at the festival: 7,19 euros, 40 % off

This one is published by Raw Fury, which for me is half a recommendation already. It is a kitchen management sim with plenty of character where you learn traditional recipes, cook for the locals and decorate the place however you like. There are cooking battles in the mix too, because the goal is to become a great chef and save the restaurant. It came out in April and now sits at a bit over seven euros.

Creature Kitchen

  • Title: Creature Kitchen
  • Developer: The Rat Zone
  • Publisher: The Rat Zone
  • Genre: Cooking sim
  • Platforms: PC
  • Release date: 6 February 2026
  • Price at the festival: 6,23 euros, 20 % off

This cooking game hands you a clientele made of suspicious animals. The idea is to get to know the local wildlife, work out what each creature likes and make its dish. It blends the cozy with the sinister without ever committing to either, which is exactly where the charm is. Exploring the surroundings counts as much as what you do in the kitchen. It is one of the cheapest of the festival, at just over six euros.

World End Diner

  • Title: World End Diner
  • Developer: Andymente
  • Publisher: Andymente
  • Genre: Adventure and simulation
  • Platforms: PC
  • Languages: No Spanish
  • Release date: 3 February 2025
  • Price at the festival: 12,63 euros, 20 % off

Humanity has gone to pieces and you run a diner on the last island still standing. Your customers are the animals and robots that survived, so you cook for them, run a farm and explore the forest looking for ingredients. It is one of the few on the list with a premise that goes beyond serving plates. The only catch is that it is not translated into Spanish.

Inn Tycoon

  • Title: Inn Tycoon
  • Developer: Evil Goose Games
  • Publisher: GameDev.ist and Gamersky Games
  • Genre: Management and strategy
  • Platforms: PC
  • Release date: 7 November 2025
  • Price at the festival: 11,99 euros, no discount

This one leans far more towards management than towards the stove. You build and design your inn, serve meals, add services and hire staff so the place ends up running itself. The idea is to raise a hospitality empire through decisions. If you are into numbers and org charts more than the frying pan minigame, this one is yours. Mind you, it is one of the three that is not discounted.

Feed the Cups

  • Title: Feed the Cups
  • Developer: Vambear Games
  • Publisher: IndieArk
  • Genre: Co-op roguelite
  • Platforms: PC and Mac
  • Languages: No Spanish
  • Release date: 21 February 2024, in early access
  • Price at the festival: 15,79 euros, no discount

This is the chaotic one of the list, the one you play while shouting. Between several of you, you run a drinks shop, restocking, prepping ingredients, taking orders, cleaning and checking the equipment before the whole thing falls apart. It has a roguelite structure and online co-op, so every run turns out different. It is still in early access, it is not discounted and it has no Spanish either.

Burgie’s Cozy Kitchen

  • Title: Burgie’s Cozy Kitchen
  • Developer: HeyNau
  • Publisher: HeyNau
  • Genre: Desktop companion
  • Platforms: PC
  • Release date: 10 February 2025, in early access
  • Price at the festival: 4,89 euros, 30 % off

This is one of the most original cooking games around, because the game keeps moving along while you work and serve tiny customers in your spare moments. It comes with a pomodoro mode to help you focus and chat integration if you stream. Watching your viewers turn into customers and join in inside the game is great fun. It is the cheapest of the ten, under five euros. The idea strikes me as wonderfully odd, and it comes from a Spanish solo dev, so you should give it a chance.

Vacation Cafe Simulator

  • Title: Vacation Cafe Simulator
  • Developer: Alice Games
  • Publisher: Alice Games
  • Genre: Cozy simulation
  • Platforms: PC
  • Release date: 20 August 2026
  • Price at the festival: 14,99 euros, 25 % off

An Italian holiday café, with no timers and no stress, which is literally what it promises. You cook traditional dishes, upgrade the place, decorate it to your taste and drink prosecco while the business grows. There is no clock running and nobody shouting an order at you from the bar. It is the most recent one on the list, from August of this year.

Bento Blocks

  • Title: Bento Blocks
  • Developer: SOMETIMES LIMITED
  • Publisher: SOMETIMES LIMITED
  • Genre: Puzzle
  • Platforms: PC
  • Release date: 29 January 2026
  • Price at the festival: 10,21 euros, 27 % off

This is the one that strays furthest from the rest, because it is a puzzle game. You cut ingredients and arrange them to build lunch boxes. The look could not be friendlier, but the difficulty is no joke. It fits beautifully into odd moments, the five-minute kind. If what you fancy is thinking rather than rushing, this is your pick of the festival.

Cuisineer

  • Title: Cuisineer
  • Developer: BattleBrew Productions
  • Publisher: Marvelous Europe and XSEED Games
  • Genre: Action, RPG and simulation
  • Platforms: PC
  • Release date: 9 November 2023
  • Price at the festival: 24,99 euros, no discount

The veteran of the group, from 2023. It is also the only one with dungeons in the mix. You head out armed with a spatula and a bubble tea, beat monsters, take their ingredients and carry them home to cook and serve in your restaurant. That loop of fighting outside and cooking inside is what makes it different from everything else. It is the priciest on the list and it is not on sale either.

More cooking games on Steam

Cooking Fest 2026 closes on Monday 19 October at 19:00 CEST, so there is still time, though not a lot. Remember that Steam Next Fest kicks off that very same day, in case you are left wanting more demos.
